Everyones going Green!

Every company right from the power production, mobile phone to construction knows that GREEN is the way to be! Going GREEN would definitely be an advantage keeping in mind the long term benefits and  goodwill of the company as need to be proactive with respect to climate change is on priority now!  Here I have a few examples that can help us in moving closer to being greener and one step closer to sustainability.

First let us talk about LG Mobile phones which are solar powered. I know it is not anything revolutionary or jaw-dropping but it is small things like these that will make a difference. Many times the problems to the most complex problems are simple just that they need to be implemented on a large scale. With large companies like LG taking the initiative and setting examples it is a ray of hope for all those environmentalists who are going crazy thinking and calculating how far we are from “The tipping point”.  A ray of hope everyone would be clinging on to!

Coming back to the solar powered phone. Here’s a picture of it:

After Samsung decided to go green in style with its new Blue Earth solar-powered phone; it’s now turn for LG. LG,promises to use green packaging with the user manual in a soy ink on recycled paper.

Samsung Blue Earth phone not only has the solar panel at the back but is also made from  recycled plastic wastes. The themes also reflect on how fragile our environment is. For more information Click here.
Below is a picture of the phone:

Coming to the power industry. We have always heard the developed countries blaming the developing countries for not adopting green techniques and being the major producers of CO2. Now, China has proved this wrong! While the USA is just planning  on setting up green power production industries, these are being set up in China at the rate of one per month! The only drawback of these power plants is that their efficiency is much lower than those that will be set up in the US. In China the efficiency is about 27-30% while in western countries it is being estimated to be around 40%. Neverthless, it is a move by China that needs to be appreciated!

A lot of research works are being funded for the production of biofuels from algae, using bugs, etc. These are the same projects which governments had rejected for funding as then there were large fossil fuel reserves and investing in this was not of importance. Its good to see perspectives change now! To read more click here.

Coming to the next level of attaining sustainability, our houses! I saw these really interesting designs of a house which would look weird to most of us but actually are very cool. Check these out!
curved-colorful-home-interiorcurved-organic-house-designThese look absolutely COOL! The best thing is they have so many opening for sunlight that as you can see we can grow the veggies we need and reach an all together different level of sustainability. Here, organic farming (NOT gardening) would be an ideal thing to do!!! Also building houses like these would emit far lesser amount of CO2 when compared with building sky scrapers…

Well… This is all I have for now! Lets hope more companies and people go green!!!

Eggs and Mobile Phones!

Most of us would wonder what the connection between the two is, even i did… Read on and find out!

EGGY STORY 1

The Tele-Egg mobile phone accessory  really is a funny concept!

Shaped like an egg; this gadget wonder alert you whenever you receive a call and it does so before the phone goes off by kicking its legs!@#!#@!

It is a low cost call indicator wiggles his legs. Apart from this it has a LCD clock as well!

There are times in our lives when we have to sit with our mobile phones switched off – such as those quiet coaches on trains, restaurants, the theatre, cinema or your local funeral or in colleges and hostels where cell phones are banned.

However, what happens when you need to know if someone has called? Maybe you can take the call outside or maybe you need to know that a text has been sent. Sure, you could put the handset onto vibrate mode but that can often produces a noise loud enouh to be frowned upon.

On the other hand, your phone may be stuffed in a bag so that you miss the vibration action altogether.

This is where the Tele-Egg comes in. When a call arrives the little guy wiggles his legs like there’s no tomorrow, giving you a perfect visual indication that there’s mobile activity a-foot…as it were. The Tele-Egg costs just £3.99…. Pretty low for a cutie like this! 😛

EGGY STORY 2

Designer Roman Tubl wasn’t concerned with integrating the latest and greatest in his EGG mobile phone concept. He just wanted something functional and easy to use with some eye candy for people who like their phones flashy – literally.

The soft rounded body is surrounded by an illuminated red strip. The surface of the phone consists of a flexi true color display for tactile touchscreen feedback. You’ve also got your standard data ports like bluetooth, USB, and Wifi in addition to a 3.2 megapixel camera and a snazzy amount of memory – up to 4 GB.

This is extremely comfortable to hold and seems like the right thing to buy for anyone who is looking for anything stylish.
